01 Mechanical Performance Test: Safety Retention Test

Test Scene:

Simulate the connection strength and safety of components when a baby grabs and shakes the baby bottle.
Conducted in accordance with GB 38995-2020: The mechanical testing equipment fixes the baby bottle with a special fixture, simulates the tension and stress conditions of components in daily use (such as external force at 45° to the bottle axis), detects the safety retention performance of the nipple/drinking components connected to the bottle body, and verifies whether the components break or fall off during the test to ensure product safety.

  • Accurate Positioning: Complies with standard requirements, stably clamps baby bottle components at (10±2) mm from the top to ensure uniform test positions.
  • Non-destructive Clamping: The structure in contact with the baby bottle (such as gaskets and clamping surfaces) is designed to be soft, avoiding damage to vulnerable parts such as nipples and bottle bodies, and preventing test failure due to clamping damage.
  • Stable Force Transmission: The metal main structure has high strength, firmly fixes the baby bottle during testing (loading tension and thrust) without slipping or deformation, ensuring the external force loading direction is consistent with the standard and stable force transmission.

02 Mechanical Performance Test: Flexibility Test

Test Scene:

The Electronic Tensile Tester is equipped with a 100mm×100mm polished steel plate. The assembled baby bottle sample is fixed by a fixture to ensure the main axis of the bottle is perpendicular to the steel plate, and the initial deviation of the nipple/drinking component from the main axis is allowed to be a maximum of 5°. The equipment applies a force of (10±1) N to the end of the component at a speed of (10±2) mm/min, and finally measures the distance from the locking ring (or bottle mouth if there is no locking ring) to the bending point of the component to verify compliance with ≤40mm, testing the flexibility of the component.

  • Accurate Positioning: Adapts to the baby bottle structure, stably fixes the sample, ensures the main axis of the bottle is perpendicular to the polished steel plate, the initial deviation of the nipple/drinking component from the main axis is ≤5°, and the clamping position corresponds to the "locking ring (or bottle mouth)" benchmark to ensure test consistency.
  • Stable Force Transmission: High-rigidity structure, no slipping or deformation when bearing (10±1) N test force and (10±2) mm/min loading speed, accurately transmits the force direction perpendicular to the main axis to ensure valid test data.
  • Flexible Adaptation: Compatible with baby bottles with/without locking rings, adjustable measurement starting point (locking ring or bottle mouth), adapts to different baby bottle designs, realizing "one-to-many" test adaptation.
  • Non-destructive Clamping: The parts in contact with the baby bottle (such as clamping surfaces and gaskets) are designed to be soft, avoiding damage to vulnerable parts such as nipples and bottle bodies, preventing test results from being affected by clamping damage.

03 Mechanical Performance Test: Compression Deformation Test

Test Scene:

Simulate scenarios such as transportation extrusion and accidental stepping by babies. Select the middle and maximum outer diameter of the baby bottle (for special-shaped bottles, additionally test the vertical direction of the maximum outer diameter, avoiding edges and corners/ribs) as the test point; apply a 20N vertical force to the test point through a press, measure the outer diameter before and after compression, calculate the diameter change rate with the formula (take the maximum value of a single bottle and the average value of three bottles); for non-compressible declared products, the change rate shall be ≤10% to verify the compliance of the bottle body's compression deformation resistance.

  • Accurate Positioning: Adapts to the middle and maximum outer diameter test points of the baby bottle (vertical direction can be expanded for special-shaped bottles), avoids edges and corners/ribs, ensures the test position is consistent with the standard, and guarantees data comparability.
  • Stable Force Transmission: Rigid structure + vertical loading design, no offset or deformation when applying 20N force, ensures uniform pressure on the test point, accurately transmits load, and avoids affecting the diameter change rate calculation due to uneven stress.
  • Diverse Adaptation: Compatible with round and special-shaped baby bottles, the clamping/press structure can be flexibly adjusted, adapts to designs with/without locking rings (measurement benchmark switched to bottle mouth), covering different product shapes.
  • Non-destructive Protection: The press and clamping surfaces in contact with the baby bottle are designed to be soft/adapt to curved surfaces, avoiding damage to the bottle body (such as scratches, extrusion deformation), ensuring the integrity of the bottle before and after the test without interfering with result judgment.

04 Mechanical Performance Test: Nipple Tensile Test

Test Scene:

Simulate the continuous tension and sudden tearing during a baby's sucking.
The Electronic Tensile Tester non-destructively clamps both ends along the axis of the baby bottle sample (such as the connection between the nipple and the bottle body, component interfaces, etc.) with a special fixture; first apply (5±2) N pre-tension to check the sample clamping state, then increase the load to (90±5) N at a rate of (200±10) mm/min and hold for (10±0.5) s; monitor the fixture for non-destructive clamping throughout the process (test is invalid if the clamping part is damaged), observe whether the baby bottle sample breaks or falls off under tension to verify compliance with tensile performance standards.

  • Accurate Axis Alignment: Symmetrical clamping surfaces and alignment pin/groove design force both ends of the sample to be clamped coaxially along the axis, ensuring the tension direction is consistent with the axis and avoiding test failure due to eccentric load.
  • Non-destructive Clamping Protection: The clamping surface adopts flexible adaptation structure (such as rubber gasket, curved surface fitting design) or precise pressure control to avoid damage to vulnerable parts such as nipples/interfaces and prevent invalid results due to clamping damage.
  • Convenient and Flexible Sample Loading: Supports quick clamping (such as knob/pneumatic clamping), adapts to different baby bottle component (nipple, component) sizes, facilitates non-destructive sample loading along the axis, and improves test efficiency.

05 Mechanical Performance Test: Puncture Test

Test Scene:

Simulate accidental contact with sharp objects (such as key scratches, drop impacts).
Place the baby bottle sample on a panel with a thickness ≥10mm and hardness Shore D (70±5). A sharp needle (made of H13 high-chromium tool steel, hardness HRC 45-50) is perpendicular to the sample axis, aiming at the waist/neck area of the bottle body (15-20mm from the top; if the sample has no circular cross-section, select the flat part of the neck); the test equipment drives the sharp needle to puncture at a rate of (10±5) mm/min, applies (200±10) N force and holds for (1±0.5) s, visually observing the sample state during the process; check the sharp needle for damage before the test to simulate the risk of sharp object puncture in daily use and verify the puncture resistance of the baby bottle.
